| Community Advantage Rehabilitation, (CAR) is a therapist-owned company located in Whitby. Since 1997 we have provided rehabilitation services for adults and children in the Durham Region. CAR offers occupational therapy,physiotherapy, social work and dietitian services. Clients are seen in their own setting, which may include home, workplace or school.
CAR has over 85 service providers with clinical expertise and extensive community rehabilitation experience. Services include mobility/wheelchair assessments, restoration of functional ability, nutritional consultation and counselling related to illness, loss and disability.
Treatment interventions can include short-term interventions during an acute stage or longer term management as needed.
Since 1997, rehabilitation services have been provided to the local Community Care Access Centre,Durham Access TO Care. CAR also provides services to other agencies such as Veterans Affairs Canada(VAC), insurance companies, Workers Safety and Insurance Board(WSIB),Lakeridge Health Corporation. |
