How much home care is provided in Ontario?

The Ontario government through the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care spends approximately $1.9 billion provincially for home care services in the province annually. According to the Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centres, over 90% of the funding is expended on client services and less than 10% is used for administration or other one-time supports. Included in the client services expenditures is case management services provided by CCAC case managers which is estimated to represent 22 percent of funding on client services.
