Good Afternoon,

I am delighted to announce that Mark Walton has joined Ontario Health as the Transitional Regional Lead, Ontario Health (West) and CEO of the LHINs in that region. Mark will begin working with Bruce Lauckner to support a smooth transition and will provide coverage for Bruce’s upcoming vacation beginning July 6.  Mark will formally assume his new responsibilities when Bruce departs on July 27, 2020.Mark is a widely respected leader with over 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors, including health care, government and medical devices.  He is best known for his passion and expertise in strategy, system measurement, administration and stakeholder engagement. A thought leader and trusted advisor in system planning and evaluation and in performance measurement, he has led the development of strategic plans for many of Ontario's health service organizations, including the Toronto CCAC’s Palliative Care Strategy.

Mark is very familiar with the West Region and our work, having collaborated with many Ontario Health colleagues and stakeholders. He currently serves as the LHIN-appointed Supervisor of the Brentwood Recovery Home in Windsor, Ontario, and will continue to serve in this role.
