2018 Symposium

Home Care Transformation:  The Possibilities!

Date: April 10, 2018
Location: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building

Day at a Glance

The home care sector in Ontario is one year past the introduction of Patients First – a transformative piece of legislation that promised fundamental change in the health care system.

The promised change translated to major structural changes in home and community care with the absorption of the Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) into the Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs).

This year’s Symposium will focus on a review of the impact of these major structural changes in the landscape of Ontario’s health care system one year post the passage of Patients First.

This one-day Symposium provides an opportunity for home care providers, researchers, policy-makers and stakeholders to come together to share their knowledge and to discuss the way forward to create ‘better home care in Ontario’.

The Hon. Helena Jaczek, Minister of Health & Long-Term Care,
will be in attendance to present the
Frontline Worker of the Year Awards.
